Helen Liu has a background in Finance and Law and has been a commercial banker for 20 years, working with a wide range of businesses. Her clientele ranged from small business owners to large international corporations with revenues in $500,000 to $100,000,000. She focused her banking career in helping these businesses with cash management and capital funding, and closed and managed over $1 billion in commercial loans. Most recently, from July 2014 to March 2020, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager of CMB Wing Lung Bank San Francisco Branch, a Hong Kong based, top-tier, international bank.
Helen credits her disciplined and ethical approach, and critical thinking when working with clients, to her formal training and experience in commercial banking. She enjoys working closely with her clients towards resolving obstacles and helping them reach their goals. These disciplines prepared Helen to take the next step in helping small and large business clients plan their exit strategies, as a business broker. In April 2020, Helen proudly acquired SUNBELT BUSINESS ADVISORS and became the broker of record for the esteemed Silicon Valley office.
Helen started her journey in The United States more than 20 years ago as a foreign student from China. She earned her undergraduate degree in finance from San Diego State University, and later her master’s degree in finance and J.D. degree from Seattle University. Helen is a member of the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB) and IBBA (International Association of Business Brokers).
